As what most of you guys already know.. it was my birthday last November 2, 2014. What I can definitely tell you is that.. it was definitely such an eventful one! I normally just spend my birthday with my family since it is an ‘All Souls Day’ but this year – it was different.
I am really not used to waking up early and not to mention – even leaving the house early! When I say early.. I really meant, I can’t leave the house by lunch time because I don’t think I have that much time to prepare since I tend to woke up late – Maybe.. around 9 or 10am? Lol. Unless I really have an important day ahead, I tend to use an alarm clock to wake up early but normally, I would wake up around 9 or 10am.
Recently, it has I even tend to wake up around 11am to 1pm. I guess this would be the cause of my… body clock issues?
I was actually running really late – I had to attend my grandmother’s 80th birthday. My family decided to celebrate it all for one day along with my birthday since my grandmother’s birthday falls for November 1, which is an All Saints Day. We decided to celebrate during lunch time at Buffet 101 in Robinson’s Magnolia. It’s a buffet restaurant filled with international cuisines. Just so you know, I am really not good with buffet dinings because I can’t eat so much but it was fun nonetheless to reunite with the whole mother side family and relatives. Plus, 80th birthdays are actually very special and it’s very important to to miss it out as not everyone lasts for 80 years, right?
It was actually very nice of them to even gave me a mini-cake, too! They also gave my grandmother a separate one. To be honest, I would even say that at some point it was more of my grandmother’s celebration than mine, but it’s okay – it’s always the thought that counts.
Plus, for the first time.. I get to spend my birthday with my two best friends! Well, we do make celebrations but never on the exact date due to our different schedules and plans. Alyssa was in Cavite and came to Manila just for this day – I do believe she woke up way earlier than usual to travel to meet me up on time – since the place is really far, it would take her hours to arrive in Manila – plus the traffic and everything. Kim on the other hand is actually in Baguio – travelled for 5 to 6 hours to go to Manila to celebrate my birthday with me. She didn’t even had the time to go home herself since she went to see me with her luggage and everything else, too – HAHA!
There were so much events and encounters that happened althrough out the day to even mention but each and every moment of it were all special. Since Japanese is my favorite cuisine.. We decided to have dinner in Sugi Restaurant in Greenbelt 2. They definitely have that Japanese ambiance throughout the place and their food has a class of its own. Too bad we didn’t really had that much chance to take a photo of the food we ate, lol! But I can definitely assure that its always worth a shot to give the place a try if you are craving for some really good Japanese food!
Tada! It’s a photo of me and my two best friends! I love these girls! I had a lot of friends but nothing could compare with these two – they are like my soul sisters or something, haha! I purposely didn’t invite any of my guy friends because we have decided to make it a girl night out. Since we are all busy, it was really nice to always talk and catch up with so many things! Sometimes, talking online and being able to bond with the people in person is still way better as some things are just not enough to be done just by the use of social media, right?
After having an awesome dinner – we went to Mr.Rockefeller in Greenbelt for some drinks and more chit chats together. I was actually even really thankful for their staff there – they greeted me “happy birthday” personally, and offered drinks for my taste since I wasn’t able to order the cocktail drink I liked since they were out of “peach” – Ugh.. but its okay! Can you imagine – it felt like we’ve closed the place since we were the last customers there – leaving for 12am, Lol! Anyway, so much things have happened and it was all emotional in a way, too! Time does fly – and it actually felt spending all those times weren’t enough.
When I got back home, some friends even called up and wanted to spend a separate eat out for a post-birthday celebration for me, too! I really enjoyed my birthday this year. I mean.. it was very different than how it was last year it made me feel really special in different kinds of ways since there are things I didn’t really mentioned here, haha! But I was so thankful and really glad. I believe that spending your birthday feeling this kind of gratitude and happiness always brings good fortune on how next coming year unfolds for you. Ofcourse that is just my own personal thought – I am just really happy. So, for those who have greeted me through calls, Facebook, and messages – Thank You!
