Dashing Diva’s Eyebrow Waxing

I use to shape my eyebrows by going to the salon to have an eyebrow threading for every 3 weeks. Unfortunately, because of my hectic schedule, there are times when I wasn’t able to give time to pamper myself. It was a good thing I was able to go out with my friends yesterday for some shopping, food trip, a few hang-outs and girl talk.

We went to Dashing Diva in Beauty Bar located at Greenbelt 5 to pamper ourselves. I actually wanted to have my nails done but out of the blue, I just decided to give their eyebrow waxing service a try. I have always did threading on my eyebrows but never tried waxing. It was a new experience for me and I was also quite scared about it, since I don’t know how it will actually turn out.

After a few minutes of prayer and nervousness…

The first photo is what it looked like right after the eyebrow waxing service. The second photo is what it looks like when the redness has subsided down.

Yes, it became quite reddish at first but subdued right after a few minutes. It was a fast and good service unlike when I had to do threading sessions, I would almost tear up because of the pain. So I would really say that it’s worth it.

Plus, I get to have free ice tea, too! HAHA!

Today, I decided to do a video blog showcasing my top 5 chosen products for the month of April 2012. I’d like to do this as a monthly basis to feature some of the product that I feel deserves a lot of credit based on their benefits and features.

Pardon me as this is my first video blog and I am not very good in editing videos & not yet used to talking by myself in front of the computer, lol! I’d try to do something better for the month of May *or maybe find someone who can help me with that, hopefully!* and for my other upcoming next videos soon, so stay tune for that everyone! I hope you get to like to this and learn from it and if not.. then just give it a laugh for the humor of it, haha!

Product Review: Revlon’s Nail Enamel – Pink Chiffon

Rating: ★★★★☆

Since I believe that colors defines our auras and mood, I make it to a point to always have my nails cleaned and changed its polish on a weekly basis. I like a lot of pink shades as my nail polish but this is the first time I was using Revlon’s Nail Enamel, Pink Chiffon.

I normally wouldn’t use this as my nail polish but since I just watched an American old movie, “Yes Man” few days ago, I decided to just go for it. I mean, what’s there to lose? Why not give it a try, right? If it’s an opportunity and you know in your heart you wanted it, why not? Okay enough about the movie and my own rambles.

Revlon Nail Enamel gives up to 10 days of lasting color and shine. Their exclusive silk-protein shield works wonders to instantly help even out the surface of the nail while rising above color to automatically smooth away bubbles and streaks.

I did two coats for this nail polish. It was very striking to me at first but after looking at it for some time, I actually loved the results. It’s actually nice and it compliments a lot of my shoes and wedges, which happens rarely. It’s a pale pink pastel color has this creamy effect. Since it’s pastel, you might need to add more than two coats, it’s actually up to you but I like its color even with just two coats on.

Seriously, the colors didn’t chipped away immediately. Since I’m always busy and doing so much stuff and on the go, it it normally chips off during 2 to 3 but using this nail polish, the color stayed – Impressive!

PS. Pardon me for using my feet in the image above, I just had a foot spa and I really loved how clean and refreshed it went out. I totally love how the colors complimented my feet, too!

Product Review: Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam

I am not an Etude product fan nor I am being paid for this review. I just want to all my readers know how amazing this product can be.

Just to let everyone know, whenever I do product reviews it’s always based on my experiences with the product and my own personal opinion.

The Etude House has two different Baking Powder Cleansing Foam. The one I am using and doing a review is the Baking Power B.B Deep Cleansing Foam. It is formulated with a baking powder as its active ingredient to penetrate and cleanse the skin deep within the pores, removing make-up and its residues. This product is best to used by BB Cream users.

Rating: ★★★★★

Trust me, I have tried tons of product but nothing compares to this cleansing foam. It’s very mild on the skin, it thoroughly cleanses and not drying at all. The best part about this product is how it was able to really remove my make-up, especially the bb cream I use on a daily basis. As a person who can’t really go outdoors without a bb cream and a sunblock over my face through my neck, this comes as a big deal for me.

I normally would need to use an extra virgin olive oil as my natural make-up remover to make sure that all the residues will be removed, but in using this product you would see the difference and how clean your skin will be right after your first use. It really makes you feel clean and refreshed and with consistent usage of this product, you’d also noticed how soft your skin went out to be as an effect of its daily use.

I give 5 stars for its rating because of the satisfaction you get from using the product. For me, it is totally worth the money you paid for plus, I didn’t even get any break outs with this product even though I do have sensitive skin. I have really dry skin but in using this product, my skin felt so rejuvenated and I didn’t felt any dryness despite of my consistent usage due to my morning and night facial cleansing routine. You might as well try out this product and see the results yourself!

Product Review: Neutrogena Body Oil

Greetings to all! How is summer doing for everyone? I hope everyone is well, happy and enjoying life to the fullest! I

I have been under major stress lately, especially with some setbacks I have been going through. I just had a home-service body massage to make up for it, for the relaxation and peace of mind.

I only prefer to use Neutrogena’s Body Oil for my body during massages sessions. It’s very good on my skin and it easily absorbs and moisturizes my skin overall. It’s definitely a good try especially when you are someone who loves taking care of their skin making sure it’s soft, radiant and hydrated at all times.

Rating: ★★★★☆

The things I love about this product:
– It’s non-greasy and very light when applied on the skin.
– There are no allergic reactions unlike other body oils I have tried.
– The scent smells so good and the moisturizing effect comes to be very smooth on my skin.
– You can definitely see the effects on this product right after your first use.

The things I didn’t like about this product:
– I am not an oil-based product person and I only use this during home service body massages because it can be really messy and hassle to apply all over my skin. If you are a person like me, you either want to use this during body massages sessions or try to use a body lotion, moisturizer or body creams as an alternative.

I would recommend this product to those people who loves moisturizers and who wants the smooth feeling effect that could last all night long. I would also recommend this to those wants to look exquisite on a night out. The smooth and healthy glowing effect will definitely show and everyone can benefit on this product, especially if it has been constantly used.

You can purchase this product to any of your local drugstores or any Neutrogena outlet. The price might be a little pricier than most body oil out in the market but you can be assured that it’s worth every penny you paid for. Plus, Neutrogena gives sales and promos from time to time so, stay tune for that. You might as well get this product either free or to be purchased on a much lower price. (PS. I got mine for free when I purchased Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer.)
