Product Review: Revlon’s Nail Enamel – Pink Chiffon

Rating: ★★★★☆

Since I believe that colors defines our auras and mood, I make it to a point to always have my nails cleaned and changed its polish on a weekly basis. I like a lot of pink shades as my nail polish but this is the first time I was using Revlon’s Nail Enamel, Pink Chiffon.

I normally wouldn’t use this as my nail polish but since I just watched an American old movie, “Yes Man” few days ago, I decided to just go for it. I mean, what’s there to lose? Why not give it a try, right? If it’s an opportunity and you know in your heart you wanted it, why not? Okay enough about the movie and my own rambles.

Revlon Nail Enamel gives up to 10 days of lasting color and shine. Their exclusive silk-protein shield works wonders to instantly help even out the surface of the nail while rising above color to automatically smooth away bubbles and streaks.

I did two coats for this nail polish. It was very striking to me at first but after looking at it for some time, I actually loved the results. It’s actually nice and it compliments a lot of my shoes and wedges, which happens rarely. It’s a pale pink pastel color has this creamy effect. Since it’s pastel, you might need to add more than two coats, it’s actually up to you but I like its color even with just two coats on.

Seriously, the colors didn’t chipped away immediately. Since I’m always busy and doing so much stuff and on the go, it it normally chips off during 2 to 3 but using this nail polish, the color stayed – Impressive!

PS. Pardon me for using my feet in the image above, I just had a foot spa and I really loved how clean and refreshed it went out. I totally love how the colors complimented my feet, too!

Product Review: Neutrogena Body Oil

Greetings to all! How is summer doing for everyone? I hope everyone is well, happy and enjoying life to the fullest! I

I have been under major stress lately, especially with some setbacks I have been going through. I just had a home-service body massage to make up for it, for the relaxation and peace of mind.

I only prefer to use Neutrogena’s Body Oil for my body during massages sessions. It’s very good on my skin and it easily absorbs and moisturizes my skin overall. It’s definitely a good try especially when you are someone who loves taking care of their skin making sure it’s soft, radiant and hydrated at all times.

Rating: ★★★★☆

The things I love about this product:
– It’s non-greasy and very light when applied on the skin.
– There are no allergic reactions unlike other body oils I have tried.
– The scent smells so good and the moisturizing effect comes to be very smooth on my skin.
– You can definitely see the effects on this product right after your first use.

The things I didn’t like about this product:
– I am not an oil-based product person and I only use this during home service body massages because it can be really messy and hassle to apply all over my skin. If you are a person like me, you either want to use this during body massages sessions or try to use a body lotion, moisturizer or body creams as an alternative.

I would recommend this product to those people who loves moisturizers and who wants the smooth feeling effect that could last all night long. I would also recommend this to those wants to look exquisite on a night out. The smooth and healthy glowing effect will definitely show and everyone can benefit on this product, especially if it has been constantly used.

You can purchase this product to any of your local drugstores or any Neutrogena outlet. The price might be a little pricier than most body oil out in the market but you can be assured that it’s worth every penny you paid for. Plus, Neutrogena gives sales and promos from time to time so, stay tune for that. You might as well get this product either free or to be purchased on a much lower price. (PS. I got mine for free when I purchased Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer.)

My Skin Care Essential Regimen for April 2012

It has been a habit for me to change my skin care regimen from time to time. I am not sure with most of you or if any of you have noticed, but when we stick to the same skin care regimen for so long – it tends to get immune to the product making it ineffective to use for your skin.

So, for this month I would like to share everyone the skin care essential regimen I am using for my skin.

My skin care essential regimen as seen in the photo above:
1. Celeteque DermoScience Hydration Facial Wash
2. Celeteque DemoScience Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner
3. Celeteque DermoScience Hydration Facial Moisturizer
4. Ponds White Beauty Pinkish-White Glow Lightening Cream
5. Missha’s All-Around Safe Sunblock (Mild Essence Sun Milk 45 SPF/PA+++)

Product Review: Bodycology, Cherry Blossom Body Cream

This Bodycology product is my most treasured item as it is a Christmas gift from my aunt and definitely one of my favorite cosmetics to use for my body since last year of December 2011.

I have been using this since December and I still have some more to use for the coming weeks ahead and it’s already the mid-month of April 2012. This is because it’s a body cream and not a lotion. It makes a whole lot of difference when you put it that way. Even though they are similar to use, a body cream has a thicker consistency than a lotion which tends to be light, non-greasy and easily absorbed by the skin.

Both lotions and body cream gives the moisture that we need back to our skin. I am personally more of a body cream user than using a lotion and I especially like Bodycology’s Cherry Blossom Body Cream because of its fabulous smell and the smooth skin effect it gives which will really last on your skin.

Fact: Body creams are generally very good in absorbing to our skin and known to be the best moisturizer to use for our body. It is highly recommended to use for those people who have dry skin.

Bodycology’s Cherry Blossoms Body Cream PROS & CONS:
PROS:
– Smells good and is very smooth to the skin.
– It has a handy packaging where you can bring anywhere you wanna go.
– You can save a lot and not waste the body cream because of its thicker consistency.
– The “less is more” concept works on this product!
CONS:
– It’s pricier than the normal body cream’s we have in our local drugstore.
– You can only find this product online since we don’t have a local store for it here in the Philippines.

Overall, I highly recommend this product especially during night time or cold seasons for more moisture to our skin. Plus, it’s something that works for me which I can really recommend to everyone even to those who have extra sensitive skin.

Note: I am not saying you should use a body cream as using a body lotion or a body cream differs from different people with different climate situation and skin conditions. I hope everyone has enjoyed this product review and was also able to learn some facts between using a body lotion and a body cream.

Tip: To maximize the benefit in using a lotion or a body cream, apply it on your skin right after a bath when your skin is still damp and pat it dry. Don’t forget to give extra care to the dry and rough areas of our skin such as hands, elbows, knees and heels for more softening and moisture effect.
