Foods to eat for a Beautiful and Healthy Skin

For a women’s health, we don’t just take care of our skin just by applying sunscreens, moisturizing, exfoliating twice a week and have monthly of facial cleaning by a dermatologist.. but we also have to take note of the food we eat.

Believe it or not, its with the food that we eat that could give us that beautiful, healthy and youthful glow on our skin. It’s actually a 2 in 1 basis, it’s good for the skin and good for our body maintenance, too! Talk about getting beautiful and losing weight all-in-one, right?

Beauty is so much important, but how we take care of your health reflects on our skin. As the saying goes, you are what you eat, from your head to your feet!

A Women’s Health Guide to Beautiful and Healthy Skin :

WATER – Boost up your water intake, eliminate the waste and prevent constipation. Drinking water moisturizes your skin inside and out, plus it’s one of the most effective way to lose weight as it replaces high-calorie drinks such as sodas, coffee, juices and other known beverages.

OLIVE OIL – It gives protection against heart diseases, need I say more? The fact that it is less processed it has higher level of antioxidant and Vitamin E – so get that into your grocery lists and make use of it as you cook. You can use it for your cooking and also can be use for many skin care regimen benefits, too.

GREEN TEA – It lowers our bad cholesterol and improves good cholesterol. It helps fight the damages caused by free radicals and contains a whole ton of antioxidants and it also prevents skin cancer.

SOY FOOD – Whether it’s a soybean or any soy contain product. It contains important nutrients that our body needs, such as calcium, iron, fiber and Vitamin B more protein. With regular intake, it can reduce several types of cancer such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer and a lot more.

BLUEBERRIES – Known to be very rich in Vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants. It improves eyesight, cholesterol build-up and can keep your urinary tract healthy.

BROWN RICE – Not all are fond of eating brown rice and funny as it may seem, once you get the hang of it, it actually taste good! I personally find it yummy. Also just so you know, white rice are refined and is processed food, thus it loses the fiber, magnesium, Vitamin E, Copper, Zinc, and Vitamin B-6 that are in a whole grain!

VITAMIN C – It moisturizes, encourage skin collagen growth, exfoliates, cleanses, helps remove wrinkles and improves your immune system. It’s delicious and have lots of fiber – enough said! Eating good red apples helps, too! The more fiber you have the better!

SALMON – A salmon contains omega-3 fats that helps reduces the risks of sudden heart attacks. It helps boost the ability of your skin to retain water. It’s an excellent source of protein, improves the production of collagen, prevents the little dry patches that might be visible in your face – plus, it helps relieves depression, joint stiffness and premenstrual syndrome caused by female hormones.

OATS – They simply have the highest soluble fiber than all other grains. It helps soothes our digestive system and lowers our cholesterol. It is one of the most amazing beauty enhancers as it soothes and heal the skin while reducing inflammation, which causes premature aging.

CRANBERRY JUICE – It is widely known to treat our urinary tract, bladder and kidney infections. It has high doses of nutrients to that can protect us from heart diseases and cancer. Also, the acidity found in cranberries can be used as a mild astringent and a toner.

  7. That is so true. I eat brown rice as well. And I eat oatmeal almost every morning, not only because it helps me keep in shape, but it's also good for the skin as well, like you have mentioned.

    I also drink green tea before I sleep or when I wake up in the morning. =D

    salmon is very rich in vitamins and nutrients… it is quite expensive though, but it is worth it.

  27. YAY!! A few days ago I started to drink soy milk. Tapos I also started to eat broccoli and brown rice. Hehehe. I'm more health conscious now, I guess. Hahahaha..

  34. To embark upon this vegetarian adventure, I would definitely recommend starting with well designed meal plan to get you used to eating, cooking and preparing healthy vegetarian meals. These meal plans should be quick and easy to realistically fit in with your busy life. A vegetarian diet weight loss plan should have lots of protein, greens and natural fiber, vitamins and nutrients.
